H/Advisors Cicero is looking for an Associate to join our award-winning UK Public Affairs team, specialising in Health and Social Care. The successful candidate will oversee most of the day-to-day account execution and administration reporting to a Senior Associate or Consultant as appropriate. They should be a confident operator with a good, but still developing understanding of UK public affairs.

The role requires a strong interest in UK politics and health policy.

As a member of our client account teams, main duties will include assisting with client work and delivery, research, monitoring and writing briefings.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Organising meetings and client calls, being actively prepared to participate in meetings.
  • Writing and circulating client and internal meeting agendas
  • Keeping minutes during meetings and circulating important action points
  • Contributing to client briefings and documents
  • All administration on accounts to ensure smooth running of delivery
  • Presenting elements to clients in meetings
  • Keeping up to date with political and current affairs and flagging important client-related points to the team
  • Written communications, such as letters, blogs, memo’s and emails
  • Undertaking media and desk research for new business pitches and current client programmes as required
  • Understand the client’s business and their needs

Working with colleagues

  • Working proactively as part of a team, to help colleagues when others are busy
  • Talking to members of the team and asking for help or guidance
  • Liaising with the team to ensure client actions are completed
  • Assistance with developing and mentoring interns.

General

  • Aptitude and ability to learn about policy and regulation with direction from senior team
  • High attention to detail
  • Basic IT skills – Microsoft Office, basic Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Developing organisation skills to work across multiple accounts under time pressure
