Job Title: Public Affairs Consultant

H/Advisors Cicero are looking for a Public Affairs Consultant with excellent political connectivity to join our award-winning UK Public Affairs team.

In this role, the successful candidate will work as a key member of team delivering exceptional political analysis, intelligence, and insights to provide strategic direction to our clients across in highly regulated markets including Financial Services, Energy, Technology, Transport, and Infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 4-5 years of experience in a related field such as a think-tank, political consultancy, government, regulator, or a political role.
• Excellent political connectivity, for example, with strong relationships across at least one of the major political parties, political advisers, think tanks and policy influencers.
• Highly competent in all written and verbal communications.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to take complex policy issues, analyse and write about them effectively aligned to our clients’ needs.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Ability and desire to continuously learn new areas of policy.
• Aligned cultural values: courage, innovation, collaboration, expertise, respect, and openness.

Role responsibilities

• Delivering political analysis, insights, and intelligence to our clients to support the direction of their strategic aims; utilising excellent political connectivity to do so.
• Attending client meetings and working with the account team to support account delivery.
• Building and maintaining key connections and relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including Government officials, Parliamentarians, regulators and sector practitioners.
• Demonstrate innovation and creativity in presenting new strategic communications ideas.
• Assist with development and presentation of new business opportunities.
