Junior Graphic Designer

The role:

We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our dynamic creative team at H/Advisors Cicero (part of HAVAS group).

In this role, the successful candidate will play a significant part in raising the online profiles of our clients in the finance and corporate industries.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a well-rounded designer to develop their skills using all types of media from web graphics to print campaigns. The successful candidate would also be managing project deadlines and client relationships.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Taking client briefs, interpreting them and conceptualising creative design solutions
  • Designing marketing material such as infographics, brochures, reports, fliers, etc.
  • Creating engaging visuals from data and text (data visualisation)
  • Video animation
  • Blogs for internal marketing (e.g. on design, digital, social trends)
  • Client account management – building effective relationships with clients and prospects
  • Presenting and teaching best practice to clients
  • Advising clients on best practices across online communications through a thorough understanding of the latest trends and design fundamentals

Skills, experience and qualities you will need:

  • Some formal graphic design training or qualifications
  • 1–3-years’ digital design experience in an agency or in-house
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator are essential
  • An understanding of the fundamentals of design: composition, typography, colour theory and image making
  • Good understanding of video/animation and the ability to edit and film videos (using Premiere Pro/After Effects or the desire to develop skills in this area)
  • The ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for design
  • Creative thinking
  • Enthusiasm for problem-solving and taking on new challenges
  • An entrepreneurial, proactive and curious mindset

The ideal (wow-factor) candidate will have:

  • Previous industry experience
  • A good understanding of Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Basic knowledge of online CSS systems such as WordPress and ModX

Role Responsibilities:

Account Management:

  • Developing and delivering day-to-day client activity.
  • Quality control of account deliverables.
  • Working with account colleagues on resource management.
  • Maintain overview of account, and proactively advise client on new issues/external environment and contribute to strategic planning meetings with client.

Client liaison:

  • Maintaining excellent relations with clients.

  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a related role.
  • An understanding of the UK political system is essential and an interest in European and Global health policy desirable.
