With the UK government set to consult on the UK’s future aviation policy, we were brought in to help Birmingham Airport build an alliance of supporters and to benefit its commercial objectives.
We launched a two-step political campaign, producing a series of hard-hitting advertising posters challenging the dominance of Heathrow airport. These adverts appeared on the London Underground, online and in political magazines.
Working with the chief executive, we launched a report that highlighted the benefit of the airport. This report was launched in the House of Commons, securing widespread media coverage across the BBC, Sky News, ITV, The Times, The Guardian and The Sunday Telegraph.
Birmingham Airport’s messages had cut-through at the very top-level of government and were reflected in the Aviation Draft Framework released in July 2012.
