Brief

We were appointed by Aldermore Bank to drive its profile and public relations activity, position the bank as a leading commentator for each of its business lines (business finance, mortgages and savings) and give Aldermore a voice of authority through research-driven campaigns.
 

Strategy and execution

We devised and delivered a media relations programme helping Aldermore build relationships with key media. We developed a case study communications programme, particularly around SME clients, to drive regional coverage and created a calendar of reactive comment opportunities which made Aldermore a go-to commentator on issues relating to SMEs, savings and mortgages.
 

Results

Aldermore now ranks 11 out of 58 banks in the latest Ipsos Mori journalist survey in terms of favourability to the brand. The bank is now clearly regarded as a leading commentator on issues across the mortgage, savings and business finance space in the national, regional and trade media.

Together with Aldermore we won a prestigious Sabre Award for our campaign around the Help to Buy activity. We were also nominated for a CorpComms Award in the ‘Best City Communications’ category for our work around the bank’s financial results, which took place before the bank’s IPO.
