Tom joined Cicero/amo in 2021, having spent several years working in prominent public sector institutions, including almost four years at the Bank of England. During his time at the Bank, Tom worked closely with senior officials – preparing PRA executives for select committee appearances and providing strategic policy and political advice, most notably during the passage of the Financial Services Act through Parliament, giving the PRA the first tranche of post-Brexit financial regulatory powers to implement Basel III rules. Tom previously worked in Parliament as a researcher and advisor to a Member of Parliament, where he worked with a range of parliamentarians as well as the relevant trade body to set up an all-party parliamentary group on FinTech.
Tom received a distinction in his Graduate Diploma in Economics from Birkbeck, University of London. He also holds an undergraduate degree in French and Russian from Durham University.
