John is a Managing Director in the UK Public Affairs team at Cicero/amo. Bringing 15 years' experience, he specialises in advising blue-chip companies in complex and highly-regulated markets. He also leads Cicero/amo's political risk analysis, writing and speaking regularly on the intersection of politics and markets.
John joined as a graduate in 2006. He headed Cicero’s office Washington D.C. from 2010-2013, working on US Wall Street reform and a global campaign to introduce a standard to help eliminate conflict gold from the supply chain.
After returning to London, John joined the board and was part of the management team that built Cicero into the U.K's top ranked public affairs team by revenue (PR Week figures) and then to successful sale to global communications giant Havas in 2020.
In a voluntary capacity he is Vice President of Churches Mutual, which is one of the nation’s most significant ecumenical institutions and is a member of the Company of Communicators, the City livery company for communications professionals. He holds a BSc in Government from LSE and an MSc from the UCL School of Public Policy.
