Cicero’s overview of news, press releases, and images

Iain Anderson, Executive Chairman of communications agency Cicero Group, has been named as one of the top global 100 LGBT+ Executives.

The list was published by OUTstanding, a membership organisation for LGBT+ and ally leaders, and was trailed as the lead item in the Financial Times’ Executive Diversity section on Tuesday 25 October. Anderson is named alongside significant business figures including Mary Portas, Executive Creative Director, Portas Agency, Inga Beale, Chief Executive Officer of Lloyds of London, and Martine Rothblatt, CEO of United Therapeutics Corporation, in the list, which ranks global LGBT+ leaders.

The list was topped by Gigi Chao, vice-chairman of Cheuk Nang Holdings and a prominent campaigner in Hong Kong. In 2014, her father unsuccessfully offered $64.5m to any man who could woo and marry his daughter after she announced her civil union with her female partner.

Cicero is the only communications agency to hold associate membership status with OUTstanding. Cicero participates in the OUTstanding mentoring scheme that pairs up LGBT+ employees with successful senior executives across OUTstanding’s membership base to receive objective advice and to support career development.

Commenting, Iain Anderson, Executive Chairman, Cicero Group, said: “I am extremely proud to have been voted as a top LGBT+ executive and to operate as a mentor to young LGBT+ employees – something that would have been invaluable to me when entering the business world all those years ago.

“This nomination, along with our recent inclusion as the first communications agency to sign up to HM Treasury’s Women in Finance Charter, demonstrates Cicero’s unparalleled commitment to developing its employees and offering a fair opportunity to everyone.”
